Pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies are increasingly relying upon fluorescence measurements in drug discovery, research and development, method development and validation, and in quality control in GLP and GMP compliance. As a consequence, fluorescent reference materials and standards have grown in importance as more state-of-the-art instrumentation relies upon fluorescence for both clinical and research applications. From high throughput screening in bioinformatics and new drug discovery to routine blood tests in hospitals, the importance of instrument validation has steadily increased. Both wavelength and absolute intensity calibration is now needed to assure the accuracy and reliability of fluorescent plate readers. Traditional methods, such as the ASTM quinine sulfate solution method, of calibration are labor intensive and less reliable. Solid-state standards offer both convenience and ease of use. MATECH's inorganic solid-state standards offer superb stability.
MATECH offers 22 distinct Fluorescent Reference Standards. They are provided in 6 configurations and four colors (Red, Green, Blue, and Violet). Our standards are offered in top reading 96 wellplate, bottom reading 96 wellplate, and top reading 384 wellplate platforms. We also offer both top reading and bottom reading 96 wellplate Dilution Series Standards.
MATECH's Fluorescent Reference Standards can be used to verify instrument alignment and detect misalignment, track instrument drift over time, normalize assay data over time on one instrument, and normalize assay data collected from multiple instruments (transfer standard). Our Dilution Series standards can be used to quantify instrument linearity and sensitivity.
Our Fluorescent Reference Standards are Class I {510(k) exempt} Medical Devices and MATECH is a Licensed Medical Device Manufacturer with the FDA and the State of California. All product are manufactured under Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and are traced to NIST Standard Reference Materials (SRMs). This makes them ideal for GLP and GMP environments.
